Happy Thanksgiving!

With Thanksgiving tomorrow, we thought this fall wedding cake was perfect for Weddings Wednesday today!

This cake was frosted in vanilla buttercream and decorated with fabric ribbon and our champagne dot design. It was then finished with a variety of fall toned buttercream flowers in a beautiful cascade.

Thanksgiving Orders

Today is the last day to place your Thanksgiving orders and guarantee your selections for pick-up on Wednesday, November 24th. We are open until 2pm today, so call or stop by and get your order in! If you miss the deadline and don't get an order in, don't worry! There will be a selection of pies, cakes, pastries, cookies and other holiday desserts available for purchase in our retail store on the 24th as well!

Paris in Springtime

They say there's no place like Paris in springtime. It's definitely not springtime here in New England, but today's Featured Friday cake is a great representation of Paris in the spring.

The Eiffel Tower and tulips were hand-made out of rolled chocolate, and the rest of the design of the cake was all done using colored buttercream frosting!

Daisy Lace

We love when couples share professional photos of their wedding cake with us. Ashley & Wayne are one of those couples who were kind enough to share some of their professional photos of their wedding cake, and it looks even more beautiful at their wedding reception at The Villa than it did in our kitchen!



Their cake was frosted in vanilla buttercream and had our intricate daisy lace design on the sides, all hand-piped! A pink, rolled chocolate package bow with a pearl finish sat on top as the perfect topper!

Today's Tasty Tuesday treat is our White Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake! This creamy, pumpkin cheesecake has a ginger molasses crust and is finished with white chocolate cream topping, fresh whipped cream and white chocolate shavings! 

One of our most popular fall items, this dessert is available in an individual serving size, as well as a larger 6", 8" and 10" size. 

Some of these delicious cheesecakes are available in our retail store for your last minute dessert needs, however, we recommend that you place an order at least 3 days in advance to guarantee availability of a certain size.

Baby Shower Inscription

We see many different cake inscriptions for baby showers, but this one is one of the cutest! We've created the cake in many different color combinations too, and it always comes out adorable!

A cute button nose, a sweet little smile...
A baby girl's coming in just a short while!

The bottom tier of this cake is frosted in vanilla buttercream, and has a brown rolled chocolate band and pink & blue rolled chocolate applique polka dots. The top tier is frosted in blue vanilla buttercream, and has a scalloped, brown, rolled chocolate band, with a brown, rolled chocolate bow on top.

White & Ivory

Recently, we created white and ivory wedding cakes for both Wendy & Patrick and Sandra & Steven.

Wendy & Patrick's cake was frosted in vanilla buttercream frosting, and decorated with a variety of rolled chocolate and gumpaste flowers in white and ivory.

Sandra & Steven's cake was covered in a rolled chocolate covering, featuring rolled chocolate swags, custom designwork, horizontal pleating, and a variety of white and ivory rolled chocolate and gumpaste flowers.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so today we're sharing all the information you need to place your Thanksgiving order!

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 25th and the day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 26th. All Thanksgiving orders should be placed for the day before Thanksgiving - Wednesday, November 24th. We will be open regular hours, from 9am-6pm, on that Wednesday the 24th. All orders for pickup on Wednesday, November 24th must be placed by Sunday, November 21st to guarantee selection. However, there will also be a variety of items available in our retail store, for your last minute dessert needs.

Rolled Chocolate Lace/Floral Applique

We created Kara and Neil's wedding cake for their late September wedding reception at The Fairmont Copley Plaza. The inspiration for their wedding cake was a vintage piece of lace.

The cake was frosted in vanilla buttercream, each individual flower was hand-made out of rolled chocolate and the detail work on each flower was all done by hand in buttercream. The flowers were then hand applied and layered to create this vintage lace look.

Bread!

We have a special treat for Tasty Tuesday today and it's not dessert, it's BREAD! We have had many requests for bread over the years, so it is a product we have decided to try in our retail store.

To start, we will have a Rustic French Baguette, a Sea Salt & Olive Oil Focaccia, and a Sea Salt & Rosemary Focaccia baked fresh and available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the time being. But since we are introducing the bread to you on a Tuesday, it will be available in the store today for this week only.

With our move to Lambert's Plaza in Westwood in January, we anticipate that bread could be a popular item and hope to expand this selection and it's availability based on feedback and demand.
For now, the large Rustic French Baguette is only $2.00...

 ...and the Focaccia is only $2.00 as well!

You just can't beat those prices for a fresh, all-natural product! The reason for these unbeatable, fabulously low prices? We are still working with recipes and we want your feedback! So please stop by the store, buy some bread and let us know what you think!
