Holiday season is fast approaching, and here at Dessert Works we've got a full menu of your fall favorites just in time for Thanksgiving! Not only do we have some fabulous seasonal pies, tarts, and cheesecakes, but we also have some Limited Edition cake flavors! Because many of you have asked for it, we've even added Lemon Meringue Pie to our Thanksgiving menu this year! While we try to keep our items stocked and ready to go, it always a good idea to order in advance to ensure availability.

Place Thanksgiving orders by Sunday 11/23 to guarantee they are ready for 11/26 pick up!

Our dark chocolate cake layered with 1 layer of white chocolate mousse and 1 layer of milk chocolate mousse, finished in an ombre vanilla to chocolate buttercream frosting with dark chocolate shavings.

Pumpkin Spice Roulade 16" $15.75
This delicious, tender spice cake is filled with light & fluffy pumpkin mousse, then rolled to create the roulade. Garnished with fresh whipped cream and confectioner's sugar.

Spring Menu 2014

Spring has officially sprung! We're celebrating the start of spring with the launch of our seasonal menu featuring specials for both Passover and Easter. 



Easter Specials


Chocolate Easter Egg Cake-8" only (serves 10-15)                                                         
Our classic chocolate mousse cake glazed in dark chocolate Ganache, decorated with flowers & white chocolate filligree.


Raspberry Bunny Cake-8" only (serves 10-15)                                                              
Vanilla chiffon cake filled with fresh raspberry mousse & finished in the shape of a bunny with light vanilla buttercream & white chocolate shavings.






Lemon Citrus Cake-6" (serves 4-8) 8" (serves 8-12)
Vanilla chiffon cake accented with tart lemon curd and filled with creamy lemon mousse, finished in vanilla buttercream and flowers.

Fresh Strawberries and Cream- 6" (serves 4-8)  8"(serves 8-12)
Our vanilla chiffon cake layered with vanilla cream and fresh strawberries.  Finished with our vanilla buttercream, white chocolate shavings, and fresh strawberries.

Buttery graham cracker crust lines this decadent ricotta cheesecake accented with orange and finished with whipped cream.

Our pies are made fresh by hand, from scratch, and using only premium ingredients.  9" size only (serves up to 12)

Banana Cream Pie
Our buttery graham cracker crust, layered with a velvety vanilla custard and fresh bananas, then topped with billowy whipped cream.

Decorated Holiday Cookies
Buttery shortbread cookies decorated with royal icing frosting. Available in seasonal shapes such as butterflies, flowers, bunnies, eggs and more...

Sugar Cookies
Buttery shortbread cookies in springtime shapes, decorated with brightly colored sugar.

Individual Bunny Cupcakes
Chocolate or vanilla cupcake decorated like a white Easter bunny.

Dessert Works uses old world recipes to create flourless items for the Passover season.  Although not traditional Passover desserts, they are perfect for your celebration as they contain no wheat

Flourless Chocolate Cake- 9" only (serves 12-16)
Rich, dense chocolate cake glazed in creamy dark chocolate ganache & decorated with festive chococlate adornments.



Lemon Almond Tart-8" (serves 8)
Light and tart chiffon-style lemon cream fills a tender toasted almond crust, accented with lemon curd and fresh whipped cream.







Chocolate Almond Cake-6" square only (serves 6-8)
Almond cake layered with creamy dark chocolate mousse & chocolate ganache, accented with just a hint of apricot.







Coconut Macaroons
A traditional American favorite! Either plain or dipped in dark chocolate.

Key Lime Tart-8" (serves 6-8)
Classic key lime filling in a macadamia nut, coconut & candied ginger crust.  Decorated with fresh whipped cream.
Walnut Crusted Ricotta Cheesecake-6" only (serves 4-8)
From a classic family recipe, ricotta cheese is used in this decadent cheesecake with a walnut brown sugar crust.  Accented with orange, a layer of Medjool date puree, and whipped cream to finish.

Gluten Free Cakes!


Allergic to gluten? Having trouble finding a bakery with gluten free cakes? Well, look no further! Dessert Works would like to introduce our ready to purchase Gluten Free cakes now available for any special occasion. Each cake is layered with our delicious almond cake, your choice of vanilla mousse frosted with whip cream or chocolate mousse frosted with chocolate whip cream. We will be carrying 6" cakes on a daily basis, however larger sizes and additional decor are available for order with two weeks notice. All of our ready to purchase cakes will be kept frozen until purchase, so we suggest to let your cake thaw at room temperature for 4-5 hours before serving.

Meet Jacqueline

Welcome Jacqueline
In wrapping up the weekly profiles for our newest staff, this week we're featuring Jacqueline. Jacqueline has a passion for baking, blogging, and all things wedding related! She can be found working in the wedding office or updating the blog and social media.


Education: Jacqueline has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sustainability. She has past bakery experience and became interested in the events industry from a young age while her mother was a wedding coordinator.

Favorite Dessert Works item: "My all time favorite item is our Caramel Apple cake, but since it's only a seasonal flavor I tide myself over year round with our Frosted Brownies and Caramel Pecan bars."

Favorite part of the job: "I love working with brides-to-be to design their dream cake for the big day. It's always an exciting time for our couples and their families, and I'm grateful to be able to be a part of it!"

Welcome Kristina!
As our new staff profiles continue, this week we would like to showcase Kristina!



Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism. After completing her bachelor's degree, Kristina found herself working in a bakery and loving it. In fact, she loved it so much she's decided to pursue a career in the industry and is in the process of earning her Associates Degree in Pastry Arts!

Favorite Dessert Works item: the Tuxedo cupcake

Favorite part of the job:  "Always learning something new, whether I am helping our customers design the perfect cake, or when I get the chance to help in the kitchen.   I love that I always go home having learned something for the day."

Kristina is busy helping anywhere she can. If you don't see her in the retail store, chances are she's in the kitchen helping to prepare delicious desserts for us!

Please welcome Satchel Leon Repa Savona, who joins us as a very junior associate. He already plays a vital role in the Dessert Works family, and we look forward to learning from his hours of experience. His "staff photo" is attached below!
