Rolled Chocolate Lace/Floral Applique

We created Kara and Neil's wedding cake for their late September wedding reception at The Fairmont Copley Plaza. The inspiration for their wedding cake was a vintage piece of lace.

The cake was frosted in vanilla buttercream, each individual flower was hand-made out of rolled chocolate and the detail work on each flower was all done by hand in buttercream. The flowers were then hand applied and layered to create this vintage lace look.
